Carry On (Baggage), 2026, divers materials, 58cm x 38cm x 22cm

Carry On (Baggage) transforms a carry-on suitcase into a sculptural object that reflects on migration, self-determination and the experiences that we carry on. Traditionally designed to protect personal belongings in transit, the suitcase becomes a vessel of lived experience.

Referencing the narrative logic embedded in Swiss papercutting traditions and translating it into precise industrial material interventions, the suitcase shifts from functional luggage to a hybrid between sculpture, archive, and personal artifact.

Carry On (Baggage) positions travel as both a physical and symbolic condition, questioning what it means to move, to leave, and to carry one’s history across borders.
