I JUST WANT TO BE (IN)VISIBLE

“I just want to be (in)visible” examines the fundamental paradox of queer existence within a hostile or restrictive environment: that visibility is necessary to be acknowledged, heard, and loved as a human being, yet simultaneously carries the risk of harm, judgment, or violence. The work focuses on the internal negotiation between the desire to appear and the need to protect oneself; between withdrawal and revolt; between self-empowerment and the traces of earlier wounds. At its core, it is an attempt to assert one’s own being — beyond expectations, labels, or threats imposed from the outside world.
